A facelift is a surgical procedure primarily aimed at addressing signs of facial aging. These issues include skin sagging, deepening lines between the nose and mouth, fat displacement, jowls, and excess neck skin and fat.
Facial tissue restoration
The surgical process involves raising the skin over the cheek and neck, then tightening the underlying fascia, known as the SMAS layer. This tightening helps reposition and rejuvenate the facial soft tissues, ultimately restoring a more youthful and natural appearance. Excess skin is removed before the final skin draping.
